Day Sixteen: World Travel, Daddy Cheering, and New Friends

Today we had a castle visit planned, but it was drizzly and the girls seemed very content to play at home, so we canned it. No schedules, no rushing-- a welcomed departure from the hectic world we normally inhabit. First, the girls drew places for their planes to fly and for Barbie to skateboard:

Samantha deposited her "countries" all along the property and we had fun running around visiting all the different places:

Then we decided to make some pictures for Daddy, to cheer him on at the world champs:

Sure he couldn't see them, but we knew he was feeling the love:

Then we tried listening to the live broadcast, but were unable to hear any exciting news of his run:

Next, we headed out to the garden for a dance party. To our surprise and delight, we were joined by two of the girls staying here (from the Chicago area). They were just as in to the music as my girls:

Dancing to the song Dynamite:

Karen stopped by and my girls were instantly glued to her:

Hatching a scheme:

The girls came up with a little gymnastics routine:

Then a synchronized swimming routine, to Katy Perry's "Firework."

A day at home turned out to be quite perfect. And Kenny did AWESOME in today's race. We are so proud of him.
